Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon instant yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Garlic powder (optional, for extra flavour)
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up.
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball of dough into a flat oval shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the surface of each naan bread, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the Parmesan cheese, and optionally sprinkle chopped fresh parsley and garlic powder for extra flavour.
Carefully transfer the naan bread to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the naan bread is puffed up and golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious Cheesy Parmesan Naan Bread as a side to your favourite curry or as a tasty snack!
