Cool Down with the Best Homemade Raspberry Sorbet Recipe!


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen raspberries

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)


Directions


  1. Prepare the Simple Syrup


  • In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water.

  • Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  • Remove from heat and let the simple syrup cool to room temperature.



2. Blend the Raspberries


  • In a blender or food processor, add the raspberries and lemon juice.

  • Blend until smooth.



3. Strain the Raspberry Puree


  • Pour the raspberry puree through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl, pressing down with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the seeds.



4. Combine and Chill


  • Mix the strained raspberry puree with the cooled simple syrup.

  • Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour, or until well chilled.



5. Churn the Sorbet

  • Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes, until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.



6. Freeze the Sorbet:

  • Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm
